- although the DVD says "transfer supervised by Dave Klein" it's not really the case. What Beuna Vista did was take the color-timing notes that were stored in the computer from the original 4:3 1.85:1 letterboxed transfer that Klein DID supervise ( that was used for the Criterion laserdisc and on that transfer the framing is fine) and fed them into the machine that was doing the new 16:9 transfer and let it rip. Apparently, they never bothered to check and see if the framing was the same between the two transfers, and the result is that reel three has too much cropped off up top, which is really bad in the train station sequence.

: I don't think it was, anyway. I kind of remember Vincent posting a big long message about it when the DVD came out, saying that it's alla terrible mistake and not at the hands of Dave klein. I might be wrong, of course...
