Dear Kevin,

What up Man? My name is Zach and I am getting into the film making world myself. I was wondering if you could give some advice or point me in the right direction. I have done all the preproduction work and am going to start shooting over the next couple months but was wondering if you could give me some advice on the next stage. I would really like to do a lot of cool stuff with the postproduction phase and would like to work with proffesional editors, but here is where the problem lies, I am working with no budget, essentially. I was wondering if you recommend getting my own private investors to put up the money for hiring Editors and there equipment and putting the film together or if I should go through production companies to get the backing and if so what that entails. Also I am shooting everything digitally so I will at some point need to transfer everything to film to put it in theatre's and it is pretty much the same question, do you think it wiser to go through production companies or to get the backing privatly? Anyways I am sure this may seem a bit tedious and insignificant to you, but I figure since you had to go through all these processes that you would be one of the best people to ask. Any help you can give me and advice you have will be much appreciated. Oy yeah, you are one of the film makers/directors I really repect and make rad, funny, and actually thought provoking or at least meaningful films, so I hope you keep making them and keep your heart and mind in them.

Sincerely, Zach
P
