What's up Kevin,

I took a look at your old Superman V script the other day. What's going on at Warner Bros, are they that unsure about the direction they want to go in? I liked your script, it had a good comic book feel to it. However, I think Superman needs to be epic in scope, like the brilliant Superman: The Movie and (Richard Donner's version of) Superman II.

After getting the Superman DVD Collection, I'm more inspired than ever to write an epic, worthwhile Superman screenplay. Hell if you can go from nothing to making movies anyone can do it, right? And you've made some excellent movies. But it's obvious the problem is *the business* and *producers* which never make up their mind and want Superman to fight giant spiders.

Realistically, I've always wanted to get into the movie business. I'm kind of ugly though, so forget starring in movies. I do have some writing skills though, and a love for Superman. The chances of actually coming up with a story, writing the script and getting it considered (let alone sold) are quite low. I know that. Hell, I'd be surprised if I actually *completed* a script in the proper format. I've tried it before, writing dialogue is difficult, and although many people see scenes in their mind, it's hard to focus and get everything organized. Especially when you've got to find a job to pay your bills and masturbate every few hours for a "break."

But I've got the juices flowing and have decided to write a 250 page, two- part "Superman Lives" script. The story is complete as of today. Each major scene is laid out in order and all that's left is to establish the dialogue and take it scene by scene. I'd like to have a complete "1st Draft" by the end of June and a final version by the end of July. Until then I'm working on my website to inform others of the greatness of Superman (so many great sites on Superman) and my script and finally handle da "bizness" so I can get out of this crib and into something more "funky." As Morris Day would say, "What time is it?!"

By the way, there's a scene in the first screenplay that features an epic battle with Superman vs. "a villain" as the citizens of Metropolis are (as in Superman II) watching the fight. The battle is played for seriousness rather than comedy (as is the entire story) but I must say this. There's a portion of the battle where Jay and Silent Bob are two of the people in the streets watching the epic battle. Jay gets too close trying to "watch Superman kick some ass" and he gets crushed and killed by the huge (CGI) villain. Ha-ha. Sorry I just think that's hilarious, considering your past experience with the new Superman script. I crack myself up.

Peace.

-Louis
