Actually, Kevin's films are the best comedies anywhere. He doesn't use a lot of cheap jokes, and the plots in his movies aren't just an excuse to be funny, as is true in Road Trip, American Pie, etc.
No comedy is going to be some meaningful piece of art, so you could say that a lot of comedies are "like pizza hut." However, if you compare Kevin's movies to other comedies, I think he comes out looking pretty good.
