How odd, this is really similar to a treatment I wrote for GB3 in 1998.
In the version I penned, the Ghostbusters had become the Starbucks of the ecto-containment world (in my version I compared them to Kinkos)-- and the whole dynamic of burned out, over worked GB personnel suggested by Dan's original 1982 treatment was included. Kinda my response to the soulsucking 9 to 5 corporate computer jobs that dominated the timeperiod (of course Office Space came out in 99 and really played out all the jokes in that arena).
Strangely I also included Don Cheadle but paired him ujp with the amazing OWEN WILSON making it a more black/white buddy comedy formula (and then spent most of the treatment making fun of the whole concepts of Black/White cop buddy films).
Anyway I'll have to dig around and see if I can find the whole thing- I think it was like 12 to 15 pages. I just thought it was really funny when I ran across Lynch's treatment and even saw Don Cheadle included.
