I just bought Green Arrow #3 yesterday. I have noticed that everytime I buy a comic book now, my 2 year old son has to read it. Well look at it anyway... He especially likes Green Arrow. I think Kevin is right. Comics are a very rare medium. It will always have a place in this world, no matter how much movie, TV, the internet, etc. changes around us. Kids will always save their allowance to buy a stack of comics. They will always have fanboy discussions and even fist fights about which superhero can kick whose ass. I'm just helping yet another generation along with my son. He's doomed anyway. He is named Logan after Wolverine. I didn't name him, but I though it was cool.
