Ya know, some people may laugh at that, but a few nights ago, I saw Gladiator and Mallrats back to back. I missed the first half of Gladiator, and with no previous knowledge, I guessed what the movie was about in five seconds.
Then comes Mallrats, and I was surprised and thrilled with every moment.
It's amazing how someone can shove a boatload of money into a movie, use a bunch of cliches, and then win a bunch of awards. Then someone else makes a movie from the heart and honestly tells a story (God forbid!), and well, you know how it goes....
Anyway, there's my two cents. I dunno if anybody will actually read this, this far down, but such as it is....
