I think it's great that you are so well grounded and respectful. I don't think the writer is the most important key to a movie, I think I've seen alot of movies that turned out bad, but had decent or great scripts. It takes the combined talents and efforts of everyone involved. It's a shame that for as much as critics lament about a lack of original concepts and ideas that when they are available, the industry shows it's appreciation by giving them a pittance of what they deserve. Could that explain the lacking...I mean where is the incentive?
