: Long before this strike came about, I was giving the writers the respect they diserve. When I saw a good film, I wanted to know wrote it. Then who directed it, and so forth. When I finally get around to making films, I'm going to work with the writers, and make sure I am staying true to what they wrote in the first place. But, hey, showbiz is one screwy business.
Forgive me for the whacky posting, either it doesn't post at all, or it posts repeatedly. Only on this board, conspiracy? hmmm (and yes I only push the submit button once..lol)
I think it's great that you are so well grounded and respectful. I don't think the writer is the most important key to a movie, I think I've seen alot of movies that turned out bad, but had decent or great scripts. It takes the combined talents and efforts of everyone involved. It's a shame that for as much as critics lament about a lack of original concepts and ideas that when they are available, the industry shows it's appreciation by giving them a pittance of what they deserve. Could that explain the lacking...I mean where is the incentive?
