"Previous engagement". Sadly, Ethan was too busy filming elsewhere to appear in JASBSB - just like Duchovny was. It's one of those things, but it does truly suck - I'd have loved to have seen him reprise Willam.
Never mind - at least he's working! I'm sure he'll pop up in one of Kevin's future projects - I do hope so.
