I'm not trying to flame....I am really NOT! BUT....Saturday Night Live isn't a sitcom. Sitcom = SITuation COMedy (shows like...Frasier, Friends, etc...those are classified as sitcoms)...
Saturday Night Live is a variety show. It just happens to be comedic! =) Actually, some of the finest actors hold a very high regard for Saturday Night Live. I don't know if anyone ever caught the Inside the Actors Studio (on Bravo) with Christopher Walkin, but he seemed to speak highly of it.
It would certainly be interesting to see Lee do SNL. Of course, I'm still interested in seeing Kevin or Jay (or both) host....or something...

: Hey Jason,
: I know that you are super busy working on your new movie and I can not wait to see it, but I have a quick question for you. Have you ever been asked to host Saturday Night Live and if not, would you ever do it if you were asked? I think that it would be cool to see you on there, but I know that you are not really into sitcoms. Do you think that you would ever be intrested in doing it? What do you think about the show in general.
: Take your time in answering....you are a very busy dude and we all appreciate your work and everything that you do. YOU KICK ASS......NOOOOOTCH.
: Keep doing what you do and bringing smiles to all our faces,
: Later,
