My condolences to you and your family.
It's a shame, but this brings back alot of memories for me. I too wrote a letter to the 'big guy' after my best friend was killed in an auto accident last year up in New York. Obviously, there's nothing tangible that he can do, but the kind words from someone who inspired your relationship or your life do mean alot. This is just a small part of the magic that happens here on this board. (The rest looks alot like a dysfunctional family picnic.)
I doubt you're still in Manassas, but I'm down the road here in Woodbridge, so if you ever need a friend around here or just someone to talk to, I'm easy to find.
You have a long journey ahead of you my friend, but you're not alone...
