I just scrolled down and came upon your letter. I'm in tears now, because, I can completely emphathize with you, dude. My former boyfriend and I broke up four years ago. After breaking up I found out I was pregnant, and tried to reach him, but he had been transferred to another town, and the only option I had was to try and get the word to him through another person. Well, what I found out recently was she was a bit vindictive towards me and told him I was pregnant, but had aborted. He had no reason to not believe her I suppose, and he went into meltdown and moved to Missouri to be closer to his parents. Never called me to ask if it was so. Anyways, I was so freaked out by not being able to contact him, and then this insidious person told me he knew but didnt give a rat's ass. I had a miscarriage two days after she told me this. So cut to four weeks ago. He was back visiting his best friend and called me up apparently to confront me once and for all about ending the life of our child. Obviously, we eventually realized we were both duped, and ended up face to face mourning the loss of our child for the first time together. After talking and talking and talking, and trying to sort out these lies we had been told, we made peace, and after much MORE talking, realized something intense was still lying underneath, probably explaining the hurt and betrayal we both felt towards each other even after all this time. We decided that maybe we should try to begin again slowly, and over time, we were both a little older, wiser, and less apt to partake in the activities that had pushed us apart(alcohol, and other nefarious substances to which he had finally broken free from). He was homesick for good ole Pa. anyways, and wanted to move back, and this ended up being the catalyst to speed up his return. He went back out west, and was going about the process of getting himself moved back to my end of the country within the next few months. Two weeks ago his best friend called me. He had been broadsided by an asshole who decided he didnt want to heed a red light. He was killed instantly. And here I sit, cruising the net at 4 a.m. because sleep is the last thing I can bring myself to do. So believe me, I completely understand your pain, and I wish you peace in the future.
