: Anyone have any idea how much it would cost to book Kevin for an
: appearance?

Kevin started talking to colleges and such for very little money. It has progressed upwards over the last 2 years or so. Kevin came onto the board about 2 years ago in response to someone giving him shit because of the outstanding price he charges. Basically...it went something like this...
He does not like to let people down who want him to speak, but he does not have the same time as he did. So with the $20,000(have not heard about the 30grand price)not as many colleges can book him...hence...not as many appearances.

It really doesnt sound like a bad explenation. Besides, the average university 'guest speaker' gets between $5000-$7500. Most of the speakers at colleges are people you have never heard of. and most of those speakers do just that...speak. then they leave. if you are lucky, you might be able to get an autograph or photo of them as they hop into their vehicle. Kevin, on the otherhand...generally talks as long as the university will allow. and after that, he will sign autographs, have photos taken, and just chat it up with the people there. He has spent as many as 6 hours AFTER his speaking commitment just to be with his fans.

Is the man worth $20,000(or 30?).....yes. If you say no, you have never heard the man speak. To help put this in perspective...Steven Spielberg(sp?) wanted more than the original offer that UNC offered him. The original offer you ask? $115,000.
