You're right we probably should beef up the begining before attempting to do anything with it. But as you said, we planned from the beginning to get established before doing anything with this script. The reason there's so many pop culture and movie references is because almost all the jokes in the movie are thing we commented on and made fun of while sitting around having pointless conversations (hence the statement at the begining of the script). Thank you for your helpful criticisms, I mean that is the reason we put it here in the first place- to see what works and what doesn't and how to fix that. I hope you'll have more tolerence than a movie exec and read the whole thing and not stop after 10 pages.
