Does any of this relly matter? Does it make him any less of the great actor he is? It obviously hasn't had an negative affect on his acting abilities, and who knows it may even be the reason he's so good at what he does and so dedicated. Let's just leave it alone and get back to the topic at hand... Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
