: : Hey did you know that the weird t-shirt that Brodi is wearing is a warped picture of Dante Hics (Brian O'Halloran)
---I do agree about the audience will perceive the characters if Jason Lee has different costumes and what not...If they can't distinguish the two characters even though it is the same actor...they shouldn't be in the theatre...
: : Hey Kevin,
: : I was checking out who was playing who in the new movie. It made wonder if guys like Ben, Matt and Jason playing mulitple roles would screw up the audiences peception of the movie. I mean, as a FAN of all your movies there is going to be nothing better than seeing Banky in one scene, then Brodie in the next. But, do you think the non fans (or new fans) will be lost without knowing the history of the other 4 flicks? By the way. In Jay and Slient Bob Strike Back, are you going to close the doors on the past relationships in the flims (ie Brodie and Rene, Holden and Alyssa, etc). My ex-girlfriend use to call me Brodie all the time, even though she was Rene in her own right. I'm glad I farted when she went down on me!! Just kiddin'. Thanks for the flicks!
: However, in the case of Banky and Brodie, Banky wears the hat, and he's got a beard, while Brodie has the corduroy jacket, dixie cup, weird t-shirt, and whatnot. But, people who are green in the Askewniverse may think that Banky just shaved if they see Brodie in the next scene. Even if they're called different names, many people have multiple names people call them, whether it's by first name, last name, or nickname. Fans of the first 4 films won't be lost at all, but if you're goin to see the flick, I recommend renting the first 4 movies(Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma), or at least the first 3, anyway.
