: No, not really, just wanted you to read it.

: I think you may have missed the point.j

: Don't let the media painting Kevin with the Generation X brush lead you to believe the movies are about Angst.

: The first one....granted.

: But the first one's angst was real. And I'd venture to guess that had Clerks failed, every movie Kevin wrote after that would have the same Angst because quite frankly a minimum wage life blows hard.

: Mallrats point was that it had no point, so in a way you're right. It was a homage to the 80s genre of Spring Break look at naked chicks til the magical one with the tattoo that happens to be an heiress to an enormous fortune and doesn't know it shows up kinda thang.

: Chasing Amy however, wasn't about nothing. It dealt with homophobia, sexual relations, relationship relations, and friendship within the modern age. It's no Jane Austen's Persuasion, but give it some credit, it started all that, falling in love with your homosexual best friend business....of course I'm speaking of that Brad Pitt's Wife movie with Paul Rudd, and that Guy Richie's Wife Movie with the Real Gay Guy.

: Dogma, if you thought that didn't have meaning, I suggest watching it again. It's kinda like those Veggie Tales cartoons. To get people to hear you, to contemplate, or at least to listen, sometimes you have to portray a message as an outlandish series of events, or rather in Dogma's case a stream of dick and fart jokes.

: But if you listen, you can hear a message there. Whether you understand it or not is up to the individual.

: As for J&SBSB's message. I doubt it will have one. Kevin has stated that it's even more comedy oriented than Mallrats....So just sit back and enjoy the ride, and once in a while glance out the rear view mirror and truly realize the inanity of life.
