Maybe Shannen is playing herself and not Renee. Since some of the movie is taking place in LA, a lot of the cameos may be actors/actresses playing themselves.
It would be cool to have Marilyn in the movie but since she lives in CA and her part would take place in NJ, it probably was cost prohibitive to write her in for a cameo. If she lived in NJ, Kev probably would have put her in.
