The only thing that doesn't work is the "PCFriendly" software on the DVD that is written for PC's. This means the "script-to-screen" viewer will not work until someone hacks themselves together Mac version of PC Friendly (they're mainly just Shockwave websites anyway).
There shouldn't be any reason you can't watch a DVD on a machine running Linux... so long as someone has programmed a software decoder for it! :)
