: Especially the VA employees... but everyone else as well.... what do you all think of this whole thing? I know it's old news, but I didn't see it the archives. I know everyone here has to know the story. Does it not bother any of you at all? I like them both... I just think it's weird that niether has chosen to address the question.
That people find it weird or any sort of quasi-admission of guilt when celebrities don't dignify every retarded accusation leveled at them. Especially considering that at the other end is the accusation that it seems "weird" that they protest too much.
I don't want to come off as one more bash in a line that comes across as nothing more than fanboys leaping in defence of Askew-ers, but it just seems to demonstrate a bizarre and nonsensical form of logic that I can't find a way to follow. I can't make it work from a purely logical point of view, only from the desire to knock people down or to believe that people are getting away with things more than it does anything sane.
The fact of the matter is, it's ludicrous to think that they have the pull to steal a credit from a titan like William Goldman even now, but it doesn't even have any conception of reality to think they would have before GWH. Add to that Goldman's own vehement denials that it's the case, and their following up with their own denial would just seem to belabor a very stupid rumor and the very stupid people who give it the slightest bit of weight.
