: A lot of UK VCRs will now play NTSC tapes. I have a middle range Sony and that will quite happily play my pre-DVD NTSC VHS copies of Chasing Amy, Clerks and Brain Candy (Kids in the Hall movie only available on US VHS).
: Check out your VCR. If it's pretty modern, there's a good chance it will play NTSC on a PAL tv.
