: i know this is off topic but sam and max rules!!!i still play the game and i actually met the creator last year at sd's comic con. he said he was trying to get someone to make a sequel but couldnt at that time. that is a bad ass game

: : OK, first off, I'm a big fan of the Clerks Animated Series DVD... It was chock-full of geeky fanboy humor that any college student should be exposed to (I have a friend who purchased it solely on the Last Starfighter reference).

: : Well, that said, there's one thing that was lingering in my mind the whole time I was watching the DVD, specifically episode 5: adventure game. That's something that I'd love to see happen! You know, something in the vein of Lucasarts 'Sam and Max' or 'Curse of Monkey Island.' I know it would sell just as well as any other adventure game (I'm fairly certain that Lucasarts gets their daily dose of car and letter bombs requesting a sequel to 'Sam and Max'), though that doesn't really say all that much. But I know that many Smith fans would love to see something like this! I'm just interested in hearing what other people think...

Hey, I'm new around here, but I figured this would be a good place to start since the topic includes two of my favorite things. :) I totally agree, I think it would be hilarious to have a Clerks adventure game. I've always been a big fan of Lucasarts adventure games, well, adventure games in general really. And on top of that my father made his own adventure game, (Morpheus, of course it flopped...hard, but hey, it's still kinda cool to be able to say you're dad made a commercially released computer game) so I was sort of raised with them. It is true though, adventure games do tend to fail, even when they do "well". Take Grim Fandango, it did great as far as adventure games go both with how many copies were sold and with the critics, but it was still a failure in comparison to, say, Tomb Raider. Anyway, yeah, it would definitely be cool. I love the Clerks:TAS DVD, and I would love to be able to play Dante or Randal. Or both. :)

Oh yeah. Hi everyone. I'm new.

~Erin
