Think about it, that's the most ad revenue Fox gets. They ain't wasting a single minute of it.
While we're on the subject, let me ask anyone who may know, I've heard some Simpsons rumors to the effect that there will never be a Simpsons movie because Matt Groening is contractually supposed to write it, and Groening hasn't written anything for the show in years -- whether it's because he just doesn't have to and doesn't want to, or because Fox screwed him by bringing in other writers. So the style that the show has taken on has nothing to do with Groening and wouldn't match a movie that he would write.
Not that I think there should be a Simpsons movie, I'm just curious to know if it's true.
