New Line have stated that the menus have been designed in conjunction with David Lynch. I *think* they said there was going to be a new 5.1 track too, plus Lynch is doing a new 1.85:1 transfer (it was shot 4:3).
New Line have also said that David Lynch is 'committed' to releasing the DVD WITH the deleted scenes (it all comes down to the French company CiBy2000) as a final parting gift to the loyal Twin Peaks fans (awwwww!)
(Partly going some way to make up for the fact that the whole series never made sense because they got canned before they could finish it! Sad but true folks - The writers themselves admitted it!)
So, hurrah for everything! It's looking good!
One final word to New Line though... it has BETTER be goddam anamorphic -- They HAVE done decend DVD's though so I'm not too worried. (Boogie Nights: SE and Se7en: SE spring to mind.)
Oh and PS - Lynch has also reportedly supervised a whole new transfer of Eraserhead for a new SE, although I haven't heard a peep about it from any companies so... A Little confusing that one!
