I have a strong feeling that if you dig Kevin's stuff, you'll absolutely soil yourself over Tenacious D! (in a good way) They (the incomperable Jack Black and kick ass Kyle Gass) had a short lived show on HBO with a boost from the dudes at Mr Show. Then due to creative differences, they got canned and now play live acoustic, funny as shit shows in little venues mostly in L.A. They have a CD coming out soon featuring Dave Grohl on drums (triple D??) :-) They truly are the Greatest Band in the World. Word to ya mutha!
