I am a huge fan of all things Askew, but the cartoons where a bit hard to
swallow. (ha! no dick jokes please)
the writting was in no way up to Kevin's usual standards (I dont think he
wrote them anyway)
I figured there was no need to post any negative thoughts here (of all
places) I mean the guy has hit more than one out of the park, who am I to
judge.
I really do think it would have been a better show had it been on HBO or
some other cable outlet.
Jay and Bob are already on the edge of becoming pop-culture icons (if they
are not already) so I see where a 'clean' show could have really pushed
them out there for the whole world to love.
even though I am a huge fan, I'm not crazy about comics, so I just figured
the show wasnt really for me anyway.
: the cartoons were a major let down? I claim to be a huge Kevin Smith fan
and except for episodes 4 & 6 I thought they were all a radical departure
for Kevin's dialog. I would have forgiven him totally (like he needs that)
if Dave Mandell would have shut up for two seconds and let everyone else
talk on the commentary track. Oh well, I know everyone is going to rush to
his (Kevins) defense, so proceed, but don't forget, this is one geeks
opinion, and not a very important one at that.
