I hope you're joking about the professional extra thing... unless your bills are really light... and you don't mind frequently being treated like garbage by small-minded ego-maniacs who want to define your character by your current job title and pay scale. If that doesn't bother you, then it's a good way to participate in some interesting projects (stay away from calls involving over 1000 people, if you can help it--those calls can be a nightmare).
