This is a question for kevin smith or anyone in the know, recently i watched the movie clerks and was astonished by how such an absorbing movie could be made with limited sets, actors and i assume money.
I was wondering if you feel its necessary to study film at great depth to be able to amke a decent film and when you write a script, what excactly do you do with it?
as someone who hopes one day makes films answers to these questions could be invaluable.
thank you
