I think he was talking about Dogma right (and possibly Clerks too???) but he was saying that the released versions of HIS films are the "Director's Cuts" so there is no need to release extended cuts.

He wasn't being so bold as to say he was against other people releasing "Director's Cuts"... take for example the upcoming director's cut of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" - the crew were not allowed to finish the film as they intended because the studio had announced a date and were set on releasing the film (regardless of whether it was finished or not!!!) on that date. So now all these years later they are finally going to release the version of the film they wanted to release back in 1979. I can't see Kevin or anyone else for that matter having a problem with this as it's a legitimate new version - we should be grateful that we live in an age when the film-maker finally has this power. However having said that the legitimacy of some "Director's Cuts" could be questioned... but as I said I think Kevin was merely stating that HIS films are the intended cuts and was not commenting on the practice of releasing alternate versions in general.

Paul :)
