Gladiator...Double disk, packed with useful info
X-men...for the comic geek in us all
Matrix...the DVD to show off what DVD is all about
Seven: Platinum Edition...WOW
Braveheart...great movie, nice to have on DVD
Boogie Nights: Platinum Edition....don't settle for less

: I just bought a DVD player this last weekend, and I am going out of town this weekend to get some new DVDs (I've got a few, but obviously need more). Besides Kevin's films, and those my wife and I have (Seven, Sleepy Hollow and What Lies Beneath), what movies do I NEED on DVD?
