I think Kevin is placing the Jay and Silent Bob comic book continuity aside to bring a sort of big screen adaption to the comics. It's kind of like how the upcoming Spiderman movie can't be taken as part of the continuity in the Marvel Universe... it's just an adaption the Spiderman comic book.
I could be wrong, but either way it seems liek Kevin is filming scenes from the JASB comic book :)

: I know it was mentioned when the pictures of the Diner appeared over at News Askew that it was similar to events seen in "Chasing Dogma".... well the new article over at AICN enforces that even more with the whole "Jay, Silent Bob and Suzanne making a run for cover to a nearby sewer hole"... I'm guessing Kev isn't just re-doing the story ('cause that would throw out all the continuity) but I guess when he said this film would tie-up everything he meant it!!!
