The closed-mindedness of some people really amazes me. Did you notice that there was no mention of the see where Bethany and Rufus visit Cardinal Glick? "What about the Churchs silent consent of the slave trade and their policy of non-intervention in the holocaust".
It just gives me the impression of these people choosing what they want to print and keeping some of the other facts away from the people who are genuine readers of the site, and therefore will not have any real idea of what sort of film Dogma is.
The writer says that they give an example of its "offences to god" etc., and not of the message of the film. Would it not be a good idea to have a seperate "WISDOM" graph for positive aspects of a film? It is my opinion that if a film was made with many "impudences of hate" as supposedly in Dogma and then saw the error of their ways by finding God they would not object to it so harshly. IE Murderous rapist is sent to prison where he becomes a changed man by meeting an inspiring Robin Williams type priest or by reading the Bible.
Coming from the guy who posted the original Cap-Alert message a couple of weeks back, it is heartening to see that so many emailed their thoughts to these exterme-right Christians. There's hope for us un-saved yet.
