CLEARLY "Almost Famous" is the best film of the year- I mean, JASON LEE is
in it, and he was in a bunch of Kevin's movies! The only way a movie
released in 2000 could have been better than "Almost Famous" would be if
Kevin Smith directed it and Jason Lee was in it! But even then, we'd have
to wait and see what Kevin says regarding which is the better film- I
remember back in 1997 I thought "Chasin Amy" was the best written film of
the year, until Kevin set me straight and told us that he thought "Good
Will Hunting" was the best script he'd ever read. In retrospect I thought,
DUH! OBVIOUSLY "Good Will Hunting" is the greatest script that has ever
been written! The only way the movie would have been better would have
been is Jason Lee was in it!

So in conclusion, "Almost Famous" is the clearly best film of 2000 because
Jason Lee is in it and Cameron Crowe, who is a friend of Kevin's, directed
and wrote it.

: Anybody that has seen this film knows how much of a quality film it is.
It is a real shame that it didn't get any more nominations that it did.
When Soderbergh gets 2 director nods for 2 different movies, you know it's
a wierd year for the Oscars. Nominations would have been nice for Best
Picture, and Directing. It's obvious from watching the movie how much it
meant to Cameron Crowe. But that's okay. It's just an awards show.
: Almost Famous is still, and will always be a great film. We as movie
fans will always have that.
