This is a question that's been bugging me...can you help me out?

In my communications class we talked (briefly)about some movie/production companies. In my book it said Dimension (owned by MiraMax) only produces films that are:

1. genre (like horror)

2. art films

So, if Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is being produced by Dimension...what category does that fit into? Or is my book just wrong?
