MY wife is officially protesting J&SBSB. I think she would sooner sith through multiple viewings of Carrot Top then go see a movie with Adam Corolla in it. I fucking hate that guy.

: Say it ain't so.

: The kids from American Pie I can deal with, Dawson I can deal with, but Adam Corolla? No offense to the man...I don't mean this in a bad way per se...but he's sort of scary in that soap-opera-looking, plastic-faced way. Combine with his juvenile antics on the Man Show* and his unnecessary unfunny presence on Loveline (that shit was all about Dr. Drew, and don't even try to lie) and you have yourself one big Dud Wouldbe Stud. Now, Will Ferrell stretches my tolerance level on occasion (although the "Dubya" imitation is delightful), but this fluffhead?

: Hard to handle, this concept. Next thing I know Jack Black is going to be sparring scenes with Mark-Paul Gosselar**, and Armageddon will be nigh.

: Let's put it this way...I know everybody's saying flat-out this is a full comedy without redemption or remorse. I can deal with that, but I must have purpose. "Mallrats" is the only movie of the set so far I wouldn't pay money to see in the theater. I'm a broke-down college student who rarely *ever* shells out $8.00 plus popcorn to see anything unless it's going to be a damned enjoyable experience. Now, should I just wait for video or what? Is this going to be all diarrhea jokes, pratfalls and chicks in silver bikinis?

: Give it to me straight, I don't mind...and besides, that's only the loss of one ticket and the major demographic around here would love to see the flick I just described***.

: * Please, no complaints; we all well know the funniest thing about the Man Show is the poor drunkard bandleader who seems to lack a gag reflex.
: ** This is not to underestimate the iconic power of "Zach Morris" or this thespian's fine work in the seminal comedy classic, "Dead Man on Campus". However, enough with the teenybopper theme. Shannen Dougherty was a clever gimmick; but unless one cares greatly about the fate of liquor- and convenience-store owners in South L.A., let the former children/teen stars get jobs where they belong...in hardcore, bestial porn. There's too many of them to feed as it is, and let's not discuss the cocaine bills.
: *** In fact, the only thing they'd enjoy more would probably be some hardcore, bestial porn featuring former child/teen stars. The Facts of Life, indeed.
