Some of the funniest pieces of motion picture history are made up of "TV" actors playing parts that are totally opposite their "TV" persona.
Can you honestly see Kevin casting James & co to play roles that he didn't think they could carry. I bet James Van Der Beek plays a total Mr T wannabe, that has asperations of leaving Jersey to make it big in NYC (or something totally off the wall - he's the writer, not me!)
I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I don't think anyone can "bash" Kev's casting choices until they have seen the finished product.
Now, if it sucks, well that's another story.....
