The T.S. in T.S. Quint is actually a Jaws reference - "The Shark"!!! I can't remember where I've read it - but that is the official explanation!!!

Also the Bruce in Brodie Bruce is named after the nickname the shark was given on the set of Jaws. And of course you know the origins of Brodie (Chief Brody) and Quint (Ummm... Quint!!!).

Paul :)
(My head is full of this shit)

: I've heard the two main theories about where the name came from (TS Eliot and TS Garp), but can I throw in one more theory (which I don't think has been mentioned, but apologies if it has)?

: Straight after being in Ferris Bueller (aged 30!!!), Alan Ruck appeared in a movie called "Three For The Road", playing a character called TS. This movie starred Kerri Green (Goonies / Summer Rental) and the legendary Charlie Sheen.

: So there's my theory - the name TS is a tribute to Alan Ruck, and therefore possibly (in a very roundabout way) to John Hughes.
