Hoods have always been the style for people of faith; monks, priests, all the way up to the pope.
Anyone else here get annoyed sometimes by the mechanical nature of angelic wings in Dogma. At the finale you see Affleck momentarily fight to keep his balance as this presumably heavy rig retracts the wings.
Don't get me wrong I think the wings contraption looks like a very heavy and difficult gag and it comes off pretty well.
But doesn't it just distract you a little.
