I seriously doubt that Mooby was a spoof on Disney. I mean, why would Kevin want to insult the very peeps that were gonna distribute the flick?
Also, a much better explanation of Mooby is that he is a modern version of the Golden Calf of the Old Testament. It's kind of a spoof on all commercialism that people "worship" today.
Ah well, that's just what I got out of it.
