I mention this to other fans and they groan too. We have the perfect writer, we need the perfect actor. Chase was it before, but he is too old now. I like both Lee and Affleck, but neither seem to be Fletch for me. The humor has to be dry and charming.
: I also know you want to work with David Duchovny. He would make a perfect Fletch. I hope you seriously consider him for the part. It would be an ideal casting job. I have mentioned this to others and they mostly agree. Plus he has bigger star power than Jason Lee.
