To the tune of about $15 million, that I recall. Part of Kevin's mild gripes regarding cast issues has been the fact that he has to listen to Dimension more since they're footing such a big amount. Not to mention, Kevin & co. have an actual studio deal now (three pictures, isn't it?) with Miramax.

I don't think the question was ever whether VdB & Biggs would "fit the indie mold". I think the questions were, "Can they carry the roles?" and "Are they commericially viable?" In which case, apparently the answers are resounding yes-es (especially, to Kev, on the "carry the roles" part).
