..happy days! I remember seeing previews for Clerks as a youngin. I actually remember when my mom rented it. I was a ten year old-strapping young man. I can't remember it that well, except that it was in black and white, the scene where randal falls to his knees in the video store and my mother saying that I better not repeat any of those naughty words in school. I thought nothing of it, but when I spent the night at my friends house for his birthday party in 97, his girlfriend brought over Mallrats. I laughed my ass off all night. We were saying lines from the movie and having a good time. Then when his girlfriend told me that the director also made Chasing Amy and clerks. I didn't know what amy was but clerks seemed to ring a bell in my head. I asked her what clerks was and she told me it was black and white movie about guys that work at a grocery store and video store. The scene with randal clicked in and then another memory came back with randal dipping the chip in the salsa and saying salsa shark, were gonna need a bigger boat. I jumped out and said "I KNOW THAT MOVIE", then we went on and on until we fell asleep and woke up the next morning with shaving cream all over our face and hair. Still haven't caught the bastard who did it. So technically I've been a smith fan for a while, I like clerks alot when I first saw it, I just never remembered it. Man, I'm getting too old for this shit. Maybe I'll start a worm farm or something.
