Seeing as my normal start time is around 5am EST, I usually chat to my fellow Brits, plus some Aussies and any insomniac Americans and Canadians (who are fairly rare at that time). I can only talk with most of the posters in the afternoon, or send replies to posts of theirs from the previous night which they will probably not scroll down to.
: I can't speak for the others but I figure we come here because we share a common interest and want to hang with like-minded people. Hopefully to have a laugh and who knows, maybe one day one of us will have an on-topic post (although I doubt it).
I don't often start a topic, as I don't really have an awful lot to ask Kevin - most people usually get there before me, especially when he's on (and I'm long gone). I'm certainly here because of a common interest in Kevin's films, and also because it's fun to get to talk to people I wouldn't have a chance of meeting socially because of geography, but would almost certainly want to be friends with if I was to meet them. I always check to see if people have replied to anything I've said the previous day, but it's hard to start a dialogue that way. However, I enjoy the Board a lot (it's made work a lot more fun for a start), and I do try and keep within the general parameters of it. However, the Board is not my life, and I generally use it for information and entertainment, which I reckon is what it's really all about (as I believe Shred said).
