Now, I am going to try to remain as calm as possible. But, to be honest, this is downright amusing. To think that my meager, insignificant post caused that much attention simply proves how quick to judge some people can be.
In fact, I think you should all be ashamed of yourselves. Not one person who read and responded to my post ever addressed me in conversation. It suddenly turned into what everyone thought of me and not one of you cared to ask. It really doesn't say much for our group that even someone who has been here for a while, but perhaps can't find the time to post as often as he wants, gets attacked by the masses in a simple case misunderstanding.
Yes, that is what I said. Not that anyone cared to actually ask me, but I was NOT asking for a job. I know full well what the rules are here. In fact, I am offended that any of you would actually think I was dumb enough to believe that Kevin would simply hand over a job to me based on my post. I was simply looking for advice on where to turn. Some of you "veterens" are so quick to judge that you forget that you have no right to alienate the "newbies" for any reason.
And the "my career depends on it" crack? For the love of God, can no one take a joke? My brain hurts just to think of what you people think about me. But, not to sound rude, I simply don't care. If I got down on myself every time some putz assumed something about me that wasn't true, I'd be a sorry, silly, little man.
