For scheduling I thhink you'll want to check out Movie Magic
Scheduling software. They also make budgeting software. But it's
terribly expensive, so you may want to wait to buy it when you have a
serious production on your hands.

For screenwriting I would suggest Final Draft because it makes the
writer's job so much easier. It's about $200 and it has a lot of nice
features.

Of course you don't need either program. Last I heard Kevin was still
using Word to write screenplays so you can see that the right
software isn't gonna make you or break you. It's still what's on the
page that counts, not how well it's formatted.
