It's one grade. The absolute worst that can happen is that it lowers the kid's grade in the class and ultimately brings down his GPA a little notch. No biggie; no school is so anal that one bad grade is going to send this kid out into the cold without a college degree, if that's what the cat's after, for one lousy grade.
The guy wouldn't know entertaining cinema if it gave him head in the parking lot, so just smile, know that you know something he doesn't, and move on with it. All's cool. There's no reason to go nuclear on your school 'cause your teacher doesn't dig Mallrats, Clerks, or Dogma.
He's leaving himself out in the cold.
