My grandparents were from Mexico (yes all four of them) and my first name is Shawn. I don't think it really matters where you're from after all my oldest daughter has a Russian name.
Besides, during the immigration process a lot of names get skewed. My last name is Munguia but no one pronounces it correctly, according to linguists, because of the lack of an accent mark over the "i." It's only missing because of a typo years back.
Of course this is all a useless arguement as this whole debate seems goofy and fun rather than arguementative.
Way to go on keeping ith that way by the way.
