: It makes all the sense in the world. It came to me when I was watching Chasing Amy one time. When I saw the cover to the final Bluntman and Chronic comic. It says "the death of a chronic" and it shows a pic of Silent Bob carrying Jay out of a pile of rubble or something. When I saw this, and remembered the new movie, I thought this would be a hint to what would happen in the new movie. Kevin has also said than this will be the final VA movie, and all the characters and everything will have some sort of ending. That made me even more sure of the stoner's fate. Now, if you read the article about VA comics moving to Image, he mentions that he will put out the Bluntman and Chronic series, and that the movie "will hinge on these books"
