Not to mention that Kev's denied it...

The question came up in Kevin's interview with Aint It Cool News' Elston Gunn a while back. Here's what went down:

[EG]: You going to kill off Jay and Silent Bob?

[KS]: No. Let ‘em go off into the sunset.

There's a link to said interview at the top of this very board. Go there. Read it. Use common sense. Regardless of whether or not Kevin denied it, you should have enough common sense to know that one of the title characters isn't gonna be offed in a dick-and-fart-joke summer comedy.

: It's a balls-to-the-wall all out comedy, nothing about those types of movie gets the viewer down or depressed, especially sad things that happen to the main characters, they're just not made like that....unless it's like a spoof type wacky comedy where you laugh at the person that died, but this is a well known character from other movies, it wouldn't happen and if it did I will burn my viewaskew dvds and make you eat the ashes.

: : : There's no way it will happen because it's an all out wacky comedy, and shit like that doesn't happen to main characters of those types of movies....it just doesn't it.

: : : : I just signed up here, so I don't know if anyone has said this yet, so don't give me any "your a moron! everyone knows that!" This shit has been on my mind since I heard about the new movie, so I just had to get this out.

: : : : Here is my prediction for Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Jay will die. I promise you this WILL happen. Sad but true.

: : : : It makes all the sense in the world. It came to me when I was watching Chasing Amy one time. When I saw the cover to the final Bluntman and Chronic comic. It says "the death of a chronic" and it shows a pic of Silent Bob carrying Jay out of a pile of rubble or something. When I saw this, and remembered the new movie, I thought this would be a hint to what would happen in the new movie. Kevin has also said than this will be the final VA movie, and all the characters and everything will have some sort of ending. That made me even more sure of the stoner's fate. Now, if you read the article about VA comics moving to Image, he mentions that he will put out the Bluntman and Chronic series, and that the movie "will hinge on these books"
