I am still on painkillers after surgery, so forgive me if this message is any less coherent than my usual drivel.

Are you a Joe Queenan fan? I have been devouring his stuff since it was recomended to me by a friend and he has got to be one of the sharpest, funniest writers I've ever seen. It's really amazing. His essay about being Mickey Rourke for a day had me having to put the book down constantly, I was laughing so hard.

I was also curious if you like writing in essay or short story form. I think your style would be well suited to it, from your posting stuff, which is sharp in a very simmiliar style to Queenan.

I just want more great stuff to read. Anyone you like in particular as far as humor writers you can throw my way? Do it soon. It's more fun to read when I'm zonked out on whatever the fuck pills these are. Also helps me write. I always thought that couldn't be true, the cliche of drugs helping take you to places otherwise you couldn't get to, but it seems to work big time. Of course, there's a lot of cleaning up to do when the haze burns off but it's a great start.

Great. Now I'm Matt Perry. I'll try not to drive into anyone here's yard.
